Valentine Meatloaf

How can one be artistic when the medium is meatloaf? My husband's favorite meal is my home made meatloaf, so on Valentine's Day, I formed it into a heart shape.
This year I found some hearts on a stick at the Dollar Store. I thought they accented the meatloaf nicely. Since they were made in China, I only put them in only long enough to take a couple pictures - we may get lead or melamine, or some other poisoning. LOL

Great idea, Carol. My husband likes meat loaf, too. I'm going to remember that one for next year!

This is hilarious! In a good way of course. So much pressure on artists for holidays isn't it? Thanks for stopping by my blog so I could follow you back and discover your wonderful work!

Thanks for your comments all. Someone else asked for my recipe. It is embarrassingly simple:
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1 egg
1 C. salsa
2 slices bread, cubed
1 T. minced garlic
salt & pepper to taste
Mix all together, shape into a heart, loaf or whatever, bake at 350 for about 1 1/2 hours.
