As you know, I love playing around with new things. These were both done using my butane torch - AND I didn't even set off the smoke alarm!
I wish you could see them in person because they look SO MUCH BETTER when you can see the light dancing around on the metallic surface.

Love the metallics. You're right. My portrait does look like a big sister to your little girl painting.
Well this one had my imagination going, Carol! I thought I was looking at a rendering of a bullet hole and blood droplets on the floor! LOLOL Yes, I do watch too much ID tv. Ah well. Still, I'd love to see this one in person. It is so very striking!

I am sure that whoever pays good money for those copied paintings is sorely disappointed in the quality.
Also- it shows that your work is easily recognized as worth owning if someone is willing to go to the trouble to copy it. (Misdirected flattery)
I did an image search for "poppy paintings" out of curiosity and noticed that your work stands out as having a lot of style and originality, in my opinion.
No way can they copy this! BTW, I think on photoshop elements there is a way to imprint a "copyright" image on your painting before you post it. That might help. This is great. I love your metallic images.
Thanks, everyone. Actually, I think they could attempt to copy this because they START with a photo of the painting printed on canvas.
Of course, if you see the print next to the original, especially where there is texture and metallic materials, there is no comparison.
The artists who are most at risk, in my opinion, are watercolorists. I have seen giclee prints of wc paintings that are exactly the same as the original.
