Baltimore Oriole, 9022
I don't have orioles visiting my feeder where I live now in Colorado, but when I was growing up in Minnesota, they were occasional summer visitors. I remember my Mom putting out oranges to attract them. They certainly are a spectacular sight with the bright orange and black plumage.
This original oil is painted on a 5x7 cradled panel. For purchase information, please see my website.

I love this. I love your bird paintings. I don't see many people specializing in them so it's always a treat in seeing your wonderful paintings!
You've been tagged my dear, check out my last post
You have certainly captured the oriole's beauty. They quite take your breath away when you spot one. You can't mistake them for any other bird. And their nest is an architectural miracle.
They also enjoy a bit of grape jelly.
This is so beautiful!! I have never seen one in person. My sister puts out tangerines for the birds in Japan. They love them.
You're so right! Love this bird, really beautiful. best, Suzanne
Carol, thank you so much for your kind comment. I had a lot of fun painting them. best, Suzanne
Hello Carol
This is my first visit to your blog and I would be pleased if you allow me to follow your postings. These paintings are wonderful. I especially love your palette and the way you suggest detail in only a few marks.
This is masterly.
Regards
