Lean on Me, 00309, pear still life


I haven't done any still lifes in a long while. I bought a bag of pears at Costco - so I have a TON of pears. I put them on a bronze charger plate so I could see their reflection. This is my second ever pear painting. I'm not sure what it is about pears that makes them so PAINTABLE.
Maybe it's that they seem to RELATE to one another.
I have a couple more pear paintings in the planning stage.

Thanks Jean and Michelle. I love the warm tones, so pears are a good subject for me.
