A sad day....

Precious Nelson, 8/1/97 - 12/10/12

We had to put our darling Precious down.  She was such a loving, joyous little bundle.  We will miss her SO MUCH.

Why is it always so hard?  It's like a little piece of your heart is torn out.

  6. Carol I'm so sorry. Pets are such special members of our families. I remember your little doggies with great fondness. Precious was truly lucky to have such a wonderful family with whom she spent her life. I'm sure she was much loved. hugs x

  8. What a beautiful girl...I am so sorry Carol for you to go through this. I know they give us more than we could ever give back to them. I never understood it until we took in a rescued dog. It just breaks my heart for you. I will be thinking of you and your family. Vickie Warner

  12. Thanks again for all the wonderful comments.

One thing this has taught me is to TAKE MORE PICTURES.
Pictures help us remember both the joyous occasions and little loving moments.

  13. That's heart breaking. We lost our bulldog, Tank, a couple Christmases ago. Since then, we've adopted two more pups who HATE when we take their pictures. Cause now we take so many!

It's because a piece of it is torn out.

  15. There is something about a dog, that finds a way into your heart, maybe it's the unconditional love that they give us, always being happy to see us no matter what, never being grumpy and not caring what we look like on a bad day, and often sensing when we are down to come and give a sympathetic lick or nuzzle. Dogs are not called man's best friend for nothing.
I hope that the pain of losing your dear pet will ease in time.

I am new to your website...beautiful art!! And yes, the pain of losing a beloved pet is tremendous. But remember, all dogs go to heaven! So you will see her again on one far away day and she'll save the last dance for you :)
