Blue and Gold |
I painted about 14 sheets of tissue paper with fluid acrylics, let them dry, and ironed them flat. My reference photo was taken in 1969(!) by my now ex husband (!!).
I did an under painting that looked pretty good, then started tearing bits of paper and gluing them on with gel medium. How do you like his polka dot feet? This method is tedious, but the finished painting has a unique charm.

Oh Carol....it is just adorable...and yes the feet are so cute....I love it of course. How did you iron the paper? and if you do not mind, how do you hold it down to paint it?.
The colors are supurb as usual!
I iron it with my iron set on polyester. It has a teflon bottom, so nothing sticks. I used gel medium on the surface, then tissue, then more gel medium.
That is beautiful! It looks like something I would like to try sometime.
Really they are the lovely creation of God...
