"A WINTERS DAY" |
I always liked this painting. I think I like it because of the perspective, but also because the scene at Cherry Creek State Park is very close to my home in Colorado.
If the sun is this bright, the cold doesn't seem to matter as much. This painting is sold, but I have many others on my
website.
I so want to paint a winter scene like this! I'll have to add it to my pile of Carol Nelson Art I would love to paint pile. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteYour work is so well rounded, Carol. This is a beautiful landscape!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Carol. Snow can be such a challenge but you nailed it!
ReplyDeleteGreat painting Carol. Love the shadows.
ReplyDeleteThe blue shadows make this snow scene cold and crisp, and the strong sunlight makes it happy at the same time. Looks like a perfect winter day to go cross-country skiing!

OMG. Now you're just showing off. (kidding!) You can do anything! What an amazing gift you have - abstracts to realism! You have got it all going on, girl!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Carol. I love the depth you've created, your strong shadows and the complimentary color scheme. I can see why it's sold.
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunner Carol! I can feel the crisp air.
ReplyDeleteNice painting--looks like the scene out my window. Chilly and cold.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and light in this piece.
ReplyDeleteLove it all...the blues, shadows and lead-in.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented. I love the handling of the snow. It makes me want to wear a coat, but I know that it will be warm when I arrive at my destination. Great work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ..... You're right the perspective is right on. CRISP!!!
