This is another version of a mini abstract measuring only 7x5 inches. You can see the texturing I did on the paper before I started painting. Also, there is copper and tyvek collaged into this piece.

Great color and balance. I think abstracts are hard to do on large supports....I can't imagine thinking one out on a small. Fabulous!
LOVE both of these Abstracts! Your textures are always so interesting and wonderfully layered. I think painting a really good Abstract is extremely difficult. Would love to be close enough to attend you class!
Nice textures in your abstracts Carol. Beautiful rich and thick colours.
I was browsing through some of your work and was amazed to see you did cat portraits in 2007. They are FABULOUS!
Kim

congrats...
I just found out you are doing a workshop in Granbury Texas in MAY!!! YIPPEE!!! I am signed up and I cannot wait to meet you! I don't know which I love more - your "rocky" abstracts, your landscapes or your portraits!
Carol, love the colors on this one. What is the support? MDF? Debbie, I've signed up for my 2nd CN workshop. See you there?
