100 PORTRAITS IN 100 DAYS - Megan, 26/100, © Carol Nelson Fine Art

Day 26

I loved painting this little girl. She has such sparkle in those dark eyes. On this portrait, I started with a pink background and you can see bits of pink showing here and there like along the side of her face and around the braid. I also liked using the blue on the side of her face. Of course, some purple got in there too - almost everyone gets some purple here or there.

  1. Can it be possible you are getting even better painting all these portraits?! The several before today's seem to be more challenging to paint but you've completed them beautiful. I love this portrait. That slight purple glow really highlights her precious face.

  2. What an absolutely gorgeous little girl and painting! Carol, this one moves right up there in my favorites, I think. That said, I'd sure be hard pressed to choose a favorite as you have the most beautiful portraits. I am just wowed each and every day!
