Chickadees stay around our house all winter. They especially like suet and black sunflower seeds. Occasionally they will also eat berries, such as this one from a sumac.
This original oil is on 4x4 cradled panel. I would like to do a series of birds on these little panels, leaving the sides unpainted - only varnished wood. They look good on a wall, on a mini easel, or just sitting on a shelf.

Carol, I love the little Chickadee...this is so funny. I just placed a feeder outside our window to catch a picture of these very birds! I'm glad to know what they are called...my husband calls them beepers!
