Along the Gunnison I, 05108

The reference photo for this painting was taken while I was on a canoe/camping trip down the Gunnison River in western Colorado. This view is looking towards Escalante Canyon which goes off to the right after you pass some trees. A short walk up the canyon brings you to a beautiful pool and waterfall which felt SO GOOD in the 90 degree heat.
Our campsite was at the foot of a 100 (?)foot high sheer rock wall. In the evening we could see mountain sheep on top of the wall. We gasped at their agility as they jumped off the edge down to some miniscule ledge to browse on vegetation. It was amazing they didn't fall to their death.
This painting is oil on panel and comes with a 3.25 inch wide gold frame. For purchase information, please see my website: http://carolnelsonfineart.com/works/214946
