"Running in Circles" acrylic geometric abstract © Carol Nelson Fine Art

Running in Circles

I admit that I was just playing around with this painting.  I put a generous layer of gesso on the paper, then quickly inscribed the circles (freehand!) in the wet medium.

When dry, you have the dreaded white surface staring at you, BUT, it has these marvelous forms already on the surface.  I decided to try a muted palette of transparent red oxide, cad red, black and white.  I like the contemporary look of this painting.

I recently found your paintings again. You inspire me soooo much.. I love your work, your colors and the good feeling they leave me with even after I stop looking.
I wish I could take your workshops but you are too far away !!!
Thanks for doing what you do.
