"RIVER RUN" 12048, mixed media abstract landscape © Carol Nelson Fine Art

River Run
This is a demo piece I did for my tree workshop over the weekend.  Students were encouraged to use a variety of mixed media materials to create landscapes with trees.

Close inspection of this painting reveals printed text, dried decorative broom, and painted aluminum foil (photo does not show the reflective quality.)

Imagine my surprise the other day when, in the mail, comes a certificate and a check for a competition I entered months ago.

My painting, Forest Elements, won the third place award in the
International Society of Acrylic Painters Fourth Open On-Line International Exhibition. Woo Hoo.

Forest Elements
This painting has won an award in 2 out of 3 competitions in which it has been entered.  Now if someone would just buy it!!....
