I don't think I can tell you enough how much I love your forest series. Brilliant concept and you've made the most amazing pieces, full of textured wonder.

Love it, Carol. I was wondering about using spices; if you use cinnamon does your painting actually have the aroma of cinnamon.

This tree series is outstanding! Your style works so well with the abstract branch shapes. I also like the way you have areas of perfect geometrical shapes against the abstract. Wonderful contrast!

Carol B - I had a large container of McCormick Spice Blends - coarsely ground seasoning blends of chili, cumin, garlic etc. It was getting too old to use in cooking, but I liked the texture. The painting smells a bit like chili, but when I put the final varnish on it, that will go away.
I use old spices, teas, coffee grounds, etc. to make "seasoned" papers too. :-)
