SOLD!

Here are just five of the sixteen paintings that sold at my Castle Rock ARTFEST show last weekend. While the show I did a couple weeks ago was mostly floral paintings, in this show I wanted to feature only my abstract work.

I am very pleased that my final outdoor show of the year was so successful. I also have three commission pieces to work on, so I'm going to be very busy - but busy is what every artist wants to be at their labor of love.

It's kind of odd that of the five outdoor shows I did this year, one was my worst show ever and one was my best show ever. It's a crazy business.

Sixteen! Wow! That is a good day! Are the paintings wrapped in a way that the picture can be seen or are they all covered up? If there's a way to wrap them so the front of the picture can be seen, you would probably benefit from crowd behavior. Once one person is walking around with your painting, others would see it and a) be interested when they get to your booth, and b) be primed to buy if so inclined because the work already has the stamp of approval by at least one buyer. If multiple people are walking around with your work, I suspect it would become an even stronger influencer on others and reduce whatever barriers they might have about making a purchase.
