100 OIL PORTRAITS IN 100 DAYS - Lynn, 95/100, © Carol Nelson Fine Art

Day 95

This is a beautiful photo of Lynn with the sunlight slanting across her face. I loved painting her auburn hair and amber glasses. There was one problem I could not solve. The amber lenses in her glasses have a blue, iridescent glow along the top. I tried every blue in my paint box and could not match that color.

carol,
This is a beautiful painting, by you, of Lynn with the sunlight slanting across her face. I loved the painting which correctly depicted her auburn hair and amber glasses. There was one problem which you can't solve. The amber lenses in her glasses have a blue, iridescent glow along the top which you have painted beautifully. I tried to find if there is any damage done to the beauty of the photograph but i am happy to find out that you have matched it with the color you used to paint it...

Love how you mimicked the skin tones in the background. The red hair and amber glasses are gorgeous! Well done, Carol! 5 more to go!
