Goldfinch, 9020



I don't often see goldfinches in my yard, but when I do I always get excited at their flashes of bright yellow flitting around. This original oil is painted on a cradled 4x4 inch panel with the sides left natural wood.

Beautiful! I have a finch feeder but haven't seen any this year. I think they go over us straight north!

This is beautiful Carol!!! Birds are a challenge for me but you've rendered a gorgeous gold plumed bird with a few masterful brushstrokes. The spiky blooms are a perfect contrast to the smooth feathers.

The bright yellow really pops. I like the red on the bird's underbelly too.

So many different colors have sneaked into this tiny work of art!
