I think I'm finally ready for Christmas. I just finished a two hour wrapping marathon and it looks bountiful under the tree. I will not be at the easel for a couple days. I have a new painting sketched out, however, so should get to work on it this weekend.
This is the Christmas card I sent out this year. It features my husband's fauvist portrait and my mixed up portrait done on 9 mini canvases. I usually put one of my paintings on our cards, but this year it was fun putting our pictures on them.

Carol, your work is so bold and vibrant. I really admire it. Yesterday I saw your blog about using materials from Home Depot. What a great idea! I can't wait to try something with Tyvek, and I hope it turns out half as well as yours. It's so interesting that you shine in realistic paintings and in abstract, also. I'm bookmarking your blog.
Thank you, Deborah and Khurram. I guess if there's one characteristic of both my realist and abstract works, it is bold and vibrant use of color.
